Walk of Fame Qualifications

The Walk of Fame is the Philadelphia Music Alliance’s visible tribute to the Philadelphia area’s outstanding artists, writers, producers and industry professionals whose accomplishments are national or international in scope. Candidates from any and all music genres and disciplines in the art, science and/or business of music are eligible.

Qualifications include:
  • Having made outstanding contributions to the art or business of music.
  • With a body of nationally recognized accomplishments compiled over ten (10) years or more.
  • The candidate was born, resided, worked or studied, in the Greater Philadelphia area (generally defined as Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware and Chester County’s and South Jersey and Northern Delaware).

Radio Row Award – A bronze plaque placed in the Walk of Fame awarded at the discretion of the PMA Board of Directors to local media personalities whose activities supports and promotes the Philadelphia music scène.

Trustees Award – Awarded at the discretion of the PMA Board of Directors to Individuals, institutions or organization not eligible for the Walk of Fame but whose service and accomplishments in education or business are worthy of recognition.

The Philadelphia Music Alliance is a nonprofit and as such, relies on honoree sponsorships to cover the cost of the bronze plaque and associated expenses.
